I grew up here in Fort Worth, Texas. I was fortunate enough to go to and graduate from the University of Texas at Austin where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Finance. As a lifelong learner, I have continued to work on expanding my knowledge to serve our clients best. I earned a certificate in financial planning from Boston University and have my Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 licenses as well as my Group 1 insurance license. In addition, I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ which means I have extensive training in financial planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, taxes, employee benefits, and retirement planning. Keep in mind that roughly only 20% of all financial advisors in the industry can claim this distinction and commitment to high standards.
I have been working with clients since 2002. In addition to having a strong understanding of investments, I have a strong knowledge of federal employee benefits including CSRS and FERS retirement plans for federal employees. My dad retired from the FAA under CSRS and my mom retired from the US Postal Service under FERS and I helped them and dozens of other federal employees transition into retirement. I have also been fortunate to work with a variety of current employees and retirees from the area's largest employers such as Lockheed Martin, Alcon, BNSF, and American Airlines. In addition, he is well versed with the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS).
I live in Fort Worth with my wife Jessica and our two daughters, Audrey and Lauren. We attend Christ Chapel Bible Church where we each participate in small groups. I have also led numerous classes of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University at Christ Chapel and in my free time, I enjoy playing golf, playing guitar, and traveling with my family.
